The Free Shelf is a wooden structure with rain protection that is located near the Arguello Street entrance of Kezar Gardens Ecology Center.  People are able to leave and take things at their will and leisure.  From Pashmina scarves to bicycle wheels to memorable Rolling Stones albums, there is little you cannot find at the Free Shelf if you keep your eye out.  This gallery of photos taken from the shelf in 2012 gives you a snapshot into the range of leftovers often found and reclaimed by someone else. It is a delightful space full of things interesting, ridiculous, practical, and positively profound.  Enjoy!
